Analysis on Romanian Teacher’s Training Needs on ICT and EMPD

School inclusion can be defined as “extending the ordinary school goals, by transforming them to meet the needs of other categories of children, especially children with SEN. Inclusive education involves an ongoing process of improving the educational institution aiming at exploiting the existing resources, especially human resources in order to support all students in a community to participate in the education process” (* * *, 1999). Inclusion requires restructuring the educational institution in all respects. Thus, in terms of school curriculum, the following actions should be taken:

• developing a curriculum that meets all pupils/students’ needs in relation to their real learning potential, learning style and pace of each student;
• adapting teaching strategies to each pupil/student’s particularities for effective learning;
• organising students’ instruction on active, participatory, collaborative, and mutual aid learning principles;
• appreciating each pupil/student’s social contribution, accepting and promoting diversity.
